We have a 2,160 square foot greenhouse that is used to grow hanging baskets, flowers, vegetables, fruits, and herbs. The greenhouse sits behind the ag building to the west.
All the crops are grown by students in the American Falls Agriculture Program. Students can take Ag 320: Applied Greenhouse Management to learn more about the science and practice of rearing crops in a greenhouse environment, while simultaneously working in the greenhouse.
All the crops are sold in May during the annual plant sale. The proceeds go back to the program to purchase materials for the next year's crops. Additional profits are used to make upgrades to the greenhouse and help purchase equipment for the Plant & Soil Science Pathway.
Our sale coincides with Mother's Day Weekend every May! The greenhouse will be open during the following hours during that week leading:
Thursday: 3:20PM - 5:00PM - American Falls School District Staff ONLY
Friday-Saturday: 8:00AM - 4:00PM
If these dates do not work for you, please set up a separate time by contacting us. We are more than happy to be flexible with scheduling, however, we do not sell any plants earlier than the first day of the sale.
Plants and hanging baskets are on a first-come-first-serve basis. We will not reserve hanging baskets or other plants.
We accept credit/debit cards, cash, or check.
We offer a wide variety of annuals, perennials, vegetables, fruits, and herbs. If you are looking for something specific, please contact us.
