Business and Industry Partners are individuals, businesses, or other entities we work closely with that generously support the program. They provide financial assistance, professional expertise, and student opportunities and allow us to provide successful agricultural education. It would be impossible to do what we do without the continued support we have from our partners. We ask you to purchase locally and support our partners as they support the community and its youth.

Ron Funk, Klaren Koompin and Jim Tiede began working with the American Falls School District in 1989 to create an Agricultural Education program in our community. As strange as it may seem, American Falls, a community steeped in agriculture, had never had an Agricultural Education Program prior to them taking an interest in establishing one with the Superintendent Sheldon Kovarski and Principal Pat Charlton. The Agricultural Education Program and American FFA Chapter came into existence on July 1, 1990. The FFA Chapter was officially chartered in April of 1991. Funk, Koompin and Tiede are known as the “Founding Farmers” of what is now one of the premier programs and chapters in the state of Idaho and the nation. Their contributions extend beyond the development of the program to also being financial supporters of the FFA chapter and its members. They have been the example that all of the program’s business and industry partners have chosen to follow. Thousands of American Falls FFA members owe their life-changing experiences to the Founding Farmers and the rest of our hugely supportive community.
